The music group leads worship at the 10:30 service and at other services with a modern style of worship.
It's made up of around 15 musicians, singers and instrumentalists. We practice weekly, play a variety of music and are constantly on the look out for new material! We are joined once a month at our all-age service by the All-Age Band who swell our numbers considerably.
Music Repertoire
The music group maintains a database of all the songs used during worship at St Andrew's church. Various reports from this database are available here.
The adult choir meets for a weekly practice on Fridays at St. Andrew's Church from 7.00 p.m. - 8.30 p.m. They sing a wide range of music, helping to lead worship at the 9.00 a.m. Parish Communion service at St. Andrew's, and at monthly Matins, Evensongs and Evening Communion services at St. Bartholomew's. The choir is affilated to the Royal School of Church Music and takes part in many of their events. They welcome new singers of any voice part.
The All-Age Band is made up of musicians of all ages and absolutely all standards. They join the music group once a month at the All-Age Service (usually the second sunday, at 10:30). We provide simple parts for songs so that even complete novices can join in!
